Will converting to JPG lose quality?

JPG and WebP outputs are encoded at quality 90, which is visually indistinguishable from the original for photos. PNG output is lossless. Converting between lossy formats always re-encodes, so keep your originals if you need them.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP outputs keep the alpha channel. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto a white background.

Does the converted image keep my photo's metadata?

No. EXIF data — including GPS location, camera model, and timestamps — is dropped during the re-encode. The orientation tag is baked into the pixels first, so photos never come out sideways.

Are my images private?

Yes. Conversion runs on our own servers, your images are never sent to a third party or used for training, and files are auto-deleted 7 days after the job finishes.
