What kinds of tables can it extract?

Any table printed on a PDF page - financial statements, invoices, inventory sheets, data appendices, survey results, grade sheets. Complex layouts with merged headers, multi-line cells, and nested tables are handled.

What kind of validation is applied?

Two checks: (1) arithmetic - if a column looks like it should sum to a total row, we verify the math and flag discrepancies; (2) type consistency - if a column is mostly numbers and one cell is text (or vice versa), that cell is flagged. Flagged cells get a note in a validation column next to the table.

Are merged cells preserved?

Yes. Merged-cell regions (headers spanning multiple columns, data cells spanning rows) are reconstructed in the Excel output so the structure matches the original PDF.

Yes. Files are read on our own servers, never sent to OpenAI or Google, never used for training, and auto-deleted 7 days after the job finishes.
