How do I type the page ranges?

Use commas between ranges and hyphens for spans: "1-3, 7, 12-15" produces three PDFs - pages 1 to 3, page 7, and pages 12 to 15. Each range becomes its own file in the order you typed it, and the same page may appear in more than one range.

What happens if I leave the ranges empty?

Every page of the PDF becomes its own single-page file - a 24-page document turns into 24 PDFs, delivered together in one zip named after your upload.

Does splitting reduce the quality of my pages?

No. The pages are copied out of the original document rather than re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
