Are the cuts placed at pauses or silence?

No. Cuts land at exact time marks — every 10 minutes means exactly every 10 minutes — so a part can end mid-word or mid-sentence. If you need a cut at a precise moment instead of equal intervals, trim the file instead.

What format do the parts come back in?

The same one you uploaded: MP3 in gives MP3 parts, WAV gives WAV, FLAC gives FLAC, and M4A or AAC gives M4A. OPUS and WMA uploads come back as MP3 parts, since those containers do not re-cut cleanly.

How is pricing calculated?

A flat 2 credits per uploaded file, no matter how long the recording is or how many parts it produces. Splitting a 3-hour recording costs the same 2 credits as splitting a 20-minute one.
