Questions
All ICAO-compliant passports and travel documents — US, UK, EU, Canadian, Australian, and most other countries. Digital PDFs, scanned paper, and phone photos all work. A vision model reads each page the way a person would, so any layout works.
One Excel workbook with a Passports sheet (a keyed row per passport: full name, surname, given names, passport number, nationality, date of birth, gender, place of birth, date of issue, date of expiry, issuing authority, document type, MRZ lines, nationality code), plus passports.csv and passports.json for integrators.
The value is left null and a short flag is added to that document's confidence note — e.g. "MRZ partially obscured" or "expiry date illegible". Nothing is invented.
Yes. The MRZ lines at the bottom of the passport page are transcribed when visible. This is especially useful for e-gate integration, visa processing, and automated data entry.
Yes. Passports contain sensitive personal information. Files are read on our own servers, never sent to third-party AI clouds, never used for training, and auto-deleted 7 days after the job finishes.
